These outline important details regarding your hire agreement, including our policies on payment, collection, and returns. Hire Agreement for Bike and Equipment
This agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Best Bike Box Hire (“Provider”) and the undersigned customer (“Customer”) regarding the hire of a bike and related equipment (the “Item”). By signing this Agreement, the Customer confirms their acceptance of the terms and conditions below.
1. Condition of the Item
The Customer confirms that:
- The bike and all components are packed in good condition.
- All components of the bike are present.
- The tool kit is included in the bag as part of the hire.
The Provider confirms that:
- The hired Item has been inspected prior to the commencement of the hire period.
2. Responsibility and Risk
- The Customer acknowledges that once the Item has left the Provider’s premises, all responsibility for the Item transfers to the Customer. Best Bike Box Hire assumes no responsibility for any damage caused to the Item after it leaves the shop premises and during any shipping or transport.
- The Customer is fully responsible for the Item once it has been collected from the Provider’s premises, whether the collection is made by the Customer or by a third party as notified by the Customer. Risk in the Item passes to the Customer at the time possession is taken.
3. Consignment Amendments
- The Customer is advised not to make any changes or amendments to their consignment after the goods have been dispatched. If any amendments are made by the Customer, the Provider will not be held responsible for any issues, including but not limited to delays, damage, or loss, caused because of the change.
4. Condition and Use of the Item During the Hire Period
- The hired Item shall not be altered, modified, adjusted, defaced, or repaired by the Customer or by any third party during the hire period. Any unauthorised alterations or modifications will render the Customer liable for the full replacement cost of the Item.
Customer Details and Acknowledgement
By purchasing from this website, the Customer acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this Agreement.
Cancellation Policy
To secure your booking with Best Bike Box Hire, full payment of £150 is required at the time of reservation. We understand that plans may change, so if you need to cancel your booking, please note our policy below:
- Cancellations Made Up to One Month Before the Hire Date: If you cancel your booking at least one month before your hire date, we will refund the full amount of £150, less a £50 administration fee.
- Cancellations Within One Month of the Hire Date: Cancellations made within one month of the hire date are non-refundable. However, if we are able to rebook the bike box hire for your reserved period, you will be refunded the full amount, less the £50 administration fee.
This policy helps us manage bookings effectively and ensure our boxes are available to all customers. Thank you for your understanding.
Charges Policy for Best Bike Box Hire
To ensure the best experience for all customers, please be aware of the following charges that may apply:
- Late Return Charge: If the bike box is returned late, a charge of £7.50 per day will apply for each day beyond the agreed return date.
- Charges for Missing Items or Tools: A charge of £15 will be applied for any items or tools that are missing upon return of the bike box.
- Charge for Lost AirTags: If the AirTag provided with your hire is lost, a replacement fee of £50 will be charged.
These charges are in place to ensure equipment availability and upkeep. Thank you for your cooperation.
